Abdominoplasty
 Live chat by Birkdale

Abdominoplasty, also known as a ‘tummy tuck’, involves the removal of excess skin and abdominal fat. It is part of a group of body contouring operations which also includes fat removal procedures such as liposculpture, or liposuction, along with other skin tightening procedures like arm, thigh, and buttock lifts, and muscle enhancing procedures; calf, buttock, pectoral, or abdominal (six pack) implants.

Individuals who tend to seek Abdominoplasty tend to be either;

• Women with excess skin and fat following pregnancy

• Men or women with folds of skin following weight loss

• Individuals with stretch marks or weak abdominal wall muscles following weight loss or pregnancy.

There are several variations of Abdominoplasty. For detailed information about Abdominoplasty you can either download our Abdominal Surgery brochure, or call 0800 1958 784 and we can send a copy to you in the post.

No matter how well informed you feel you are about any surgical procedure; we advise that the only reliable way to ensure you fully understand the benefits and risks of any surgical procedure, is to have a confidential consultation with a specialist surgeon.

Our team of body-contouring surgeons are all accredited specialists with the General Medical Council as NHS consultants; of highly experienced in aesthetic facial surgery in the private sector (being on the appropriate specialist surgery register of the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons). Between them they have performed literally thousands of body-contouring surgical procedures.
