Abdominoplasty, also known
as a ‘tummy tuck’, involves the removal of excess
skin and abdominal fat. It is part of a group of body contouring
operations which also includes fat removal procedures such
as liposculpture, or liposuction, along with other skin tightening
procedures like arm, thigh, and buttock lifts, and muscle
enhancing procedures; calf, buttock, pectoral, or abdominal
(six pack) implants.
Individuals who tend to seek Abdominoplasty tend to be either;
• Women with excess skin and
fat following pregnancy
• Men or women with folds
of skin following weight loss
• Individuals with stretch
marks or weak abdominal wall muscles following weight loss
or pregnancy.
There are several variations of Abdominoplasty. For detailed
information about Abdominoplasty you can either download our
Abdominal Surgery brochure, or call 0800
1958 784 and we can send a copy to you in the post.
