Rhinoplasty encompasses all
of the procedures designed to alter the size and shape of
the nose. The Nose can be increased
or reduced in size,
or the shape and detail
altered to modify its appearance.
The most common type of Rhinoplasty is ‘Reduction Rhinoplasty’,
commonly referred to as a ‘nose job’. This involves
making reductions to the underlying structure of the nose
in order to improve the overall size and shape of the nose.
The nose continues to grow until about he age of sixteen.
Therefore, most surgeons recommend postponing surgery until
at least this age.
